Human Rights Day
First-day cover
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted on 10 December 1948. Five years later the United Nations marked the day with a pair of stamps: a flame, and two hands raised toward it.
This cover is cancelled first day in New York. The left side is a typed cachet only — United Nations postage stamps, Human Rights Day, first day cover — without a pictorial design.
