Airmail press release
United Nations Postal Administration
A Postal Administration press release of 3 May 1963 announced three new airmail stamps, to be printed in photogravure by Courvoisier in Switzerland. The sheet names the designers: Claude Bottiau for the 6¢, George Hamori for the 8¢, Kurt Plowitz for the 13¢.
The stamps themselves were later affixed to this copy and cancelled first day, 17 June 1963. The folds are original. The notice at the foot explains that first-day service was available only at Headquarters, and only in United States dollars.
